We are thrilled with this review of our museum! Thanks! We try very hard to tell the story of the Big Red One realistically, tastefully, accurately, and with it, the story of our country at war. In our democracy, the people must know something about the wars of the past in order to help make good decisions in the future about our common defense. That is the public good we strive for every day. We hope every reader will come visit.

We visited 5 places on the list and had a great time! The best of the 5 was learning about and viewing Col. McCormick's private office. Seeing the paintings on the wall at the Sunset Cafe was unique (at the Ace Hardware store). The size is really deceiving. The House of Blues decor is out of this world. You need to go there just to see the designs!! The Chicago Blues Museum was more like a jazz museum, but it is new; so hopefully, more displays will come. We saw a safe and the underground escape passageway (through a little glass window) in the basement of Harry Carey's Steakhouse. They day we went it was raining, but we really didn't mind geting wet. We all had a great time.
