Join us for Destination Museums!

The Chicago Museum Blog is pleased to announce Destination Museums, an exploration of Chicago’s cultural museums.

Chicago’s rich ethnic communities and world-class reputation lend to a host of many great neighborhood cultural centers and ethnic museums. In 2012, the ChicagoMuseumBlog.com’s Destination Museums will explore the customs, cultures and the people that make up the spirit we know as Chicago.

World travel, no passport required.

Whether you’re a life-long resident or just passing though, join us as we explore the communities, the people and the traditions that power this magnificent global city. As a group, we’ll explore many of Chicago’s ethnic neighborhoods including Chinatown, Bronzeville, Andersonville, Wicker Park and more.  To join us, simply become a registered member of the Chicago Museum Meetup Group and follow along right here at the Chicago Museum Blog.

  1. I think its a very interesting idea and it exposes people to certain museums that even native Chicagoans did not know of. I am interested in attending these but it does matter when & where we’ll be meeting.

    • Thanks Allie,

Each month, we will be updating the Meetup Group with date and time of each event. It’s too hard to forecast out much of the year at this point. Hope to see you at an upcoming event.

    Interesting concept.
