Chicago’s Sweet Candy History and the sweet tooth

Valentine’s Day brings images of rose, flowers, petals, and of course chocolate and lots of it. Chicago called itself the Candy Capital of the Nation at the turn of the century. Want to know why? It is easy, go to Chicago’s Sweet Candy History lecture at Morton Arboretum on Saturday February 25th from 9:30-11 a.m.

The lecture includes a chocolate themed brunch and learn behind chocolate delicacies such as Chicago’s own Frango Mints and Dove chocolate. The arboretum’s favorite chocolatier, Leslie Goddard will be your host and historian for the event!

Tickets are on sale now on-line! Tickets are $23 for members and $28 for non-members. You can call 630-725-2066 or purchase in person. A $5 processing fee is applied to phone and internet orders!

Chicago Museum Blog will be there in person! Hope to see everyone there! It should be a very sweet morning!
